Damn that's skinny for someone who's 5'7". I've 5'7" and am thrilled to be 145 and fitting into an 8. She's gotta have tiny bones to weigh that little.

A lot of people think going on a low-carb diet is about stuffing your mouth with liberal amounts of meat, a bunch of eggs, and gnawing on a block of cheese all day.

Is there something wrong with meat, eggs and cheese?

It actually IS that way for alot of people. Maybe not the stuffing the mouth part, but many folks have attained great health and phenomenal weight loss just by eating an extremely low amount of carbs. Who says we need vegetables or carbs anyways?

If gluconeogenesis can do the job, then what the heck is the point of eating vegetables? Alot of them give me insane gas as it is.

People who feel the need to pacify critics with the "look at how many veggies I eat/my veggie intake has actually gone UP on low carb" arguments somehow have not completely let go of their own fat phobias about which they criticize the mainstreamers for having.

I am far from overcoming my own addictions to carbs personally, but I know the truth. That said, I still enjoy your blog quite a bit Jimmy. :)

Nope, nothing at all wrong with that, Billy. But most of us low-carbers who have been successful know it is SO much more than that. That's all.

THANKS for your comments, Jeff! I certainly don't have any problem with doing low-carb that way if someone so chooses.

But most people who are livin' la vida low-carb want the nutrients they get from low-glycemic fruits and green leafy vegetables especially.

By the way, that "insane gas" is a result of the fiber you are eating. Trust me...IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!!! That's how I lost the bulk of my weight in 2004.

THANKS for your continued support!
