The ocean liner HMS ADA is not going to turn around so quickly! But this crack in the door is very heartening. The person I talked to didn't want to commit to any specific predictions on the wording since it has to go through so many filters before publication.

Laura Dolson
About.com Low Carb Diets
http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00817338088667532977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12333976.post-50807128269599559522007-11-28T10:31:00.000-05:002007-11-28T10:31:00.000-05:00I think she's gonna learn that the more she keeps ...I think she's gonna learn that the more she keeps researching, Wifezilla. :)Jimmy Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08590225257991702645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12333976.post-80554809458973530882007-11-28T09:44:00.000-05:002007-11-28T09:44:00.000-05:00
I do not believe in complete abstinence (a ...
I do not believe in complete abstinence (a la Atkins & Bernstein)
Atkins doesn't recommend "complete abstinence".Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16267677938891113110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12333976.post-62789777922071367842007-11-27T18:16:00.000-05:002007-11-27T18:16:00.000-05:00Yes, there is alot of confusion about the term low...Yes, there is alot of confusion about the term low-carb, which is why the FDA has made efforts to get it strictly defined, which will happen in the coming years. Whether the resulting definition will be reliable remains to be seen.

Likewise, I am afraid to get my hopes up too much about the ADA changes, hopefully, hopefully!, it will be for the best. I'm afraid to see what nonsense they might come up with. The head people at the ADA really don't want to accept the LC message.

Fingers crossed and praying!Kevin M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04275512513793292888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12333976.post-47662380728213411992007-11-27T17:53:00.000-05:002007-11-27T17:53:00.000-05:00This is off topic but thought you'd find it intere...This is off topic but thought you'd find it interesting.

Gene Responsible For Statin-induced Muscle Pain Identified. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/11/071127105528.htm

This article says that this gene is responsible for muscle atrophy and 500 million people are on statins.JDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13851835920775477108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12333976.post-42316814353876203562007-11-27T16:27:00.000-05:002007-11-27T16:27:00.000-05:00THANKS Amy! I do not believe in complete abstinence (a la Atkins & Bernstein), but that doesn't mean I'm over here eating pie either. I'm into what I'd call the "controlled carbs" approach for people with diabetes.AmyThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02435087061665819656noreply@blogger.com
