'Diet King' Author Pens Story Featuring 'Livin' La Vida Low-Carb'

I recently reviewed a book called "Diet King" by Adam Wilk about one man's journey through a lifetime of dieting struggles.

Wilk has a great new story at his blog today that actually features a reference to my blog.

Here's just a snippet of what he wrote:

"Earlier, I decided I wanted hot dogs for lunch. I love hot dogs, especially Nathan’s, but I was too lazy to drive twenty minutes to the closest one, so I opted instead to go to Barney’s hot dog stand—I liked the guy a lot—he was a Vietnam veteran who wanted no part of corporate America whatsoever, hence, his living: selling hot dogs and knishes out of a little stand in front of the Whitestone shopping center. His friend, Felix, another Vietnam veteran, sold garbage bags in bulk out of his car maybe a hundred feet away.

I was trying to lose a few pounds (again) utilizing a low-carbohydrate diet, or as my friend Jimmy says, I was ‘Livin La Vida Low-Carb’.

Be sure to read the entire short story for more adventures in dieting from Adam Wilk!

By the way, if you haven't picked up YOUR copy of Diet King, then you are missing out on a real literary masterpiece that will encourage you as you are livin' la vida low-carb. If you like a good story, then Wilk delivers! Now isn't that better than ordering a pizza?!
