SC Television News Web Site Links To Blog Regarding Diet Soda Study

A television news station in Columbia, South Carolina added a link to their web site on Tuesday to this blog post I wrote back in June at the "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" blog on Tuesday after airing a segment about how drinking diet sodas can cause weight gain.

WIS-TV, the NBC television affiliate in Columbia, SC, did a story called "Diet soda study creates weight-loss controversy" and explained about Sharon Fowler's study that concluded people who drink diet soda are more likely to become overweight or obese than those who drink sugary sodas. Of course, as an avid diet soda drinker who just so happened to lose 180+ pounds downing about 10-12 of these a day, I could not disagree with those results more.

A link to my blog post Diet Soda Study Results Are Absolutely Preposterous is provided on the WIS-TV web site as a "dissenting voice" featuring "Jimmy Moore's diet soda success."

The web producer contacted me via e-mail on Tuesday night and said she forwarded my comments and story to the news producers to possibly do a follow-up segment countering the study's results about diet sodas. I'll keep you informed if they decide to do that in the near future. :-)
