Applications for "The Biggest Loser 3" are now being accepted
As Season Two of the hit NBC reality weight loss television show "The Biggest Loser" will be coming to an end in just a few short weeks culminated by the LIVE two-hour finale, the producers are already anxious to begin casting for Season Three!
If you are obese and willing to endure the physical and mental challenges that await you at "The Biggest Loser" ranch, then this may be your opportunity to be on a popular television show. More importantly, as most of the other contestants would attest, you will be doing something that will quite possibly change the direction of the rest of your life!
Interestingly, the producers are also looking to spice things up just a bit in the new season by featuring family members who want to lose weight together, including husband and wife teams, father and son teams, mother and daughter teams, and sibling teams. This unique perspective seems to be what they are looking for this time around.
Are you ready to do it and think you'll survive "The Biggest Loser" camp? Then here is what you need to do:
1. Download the application by clicking here (it's a PDF file).
2. Create a 5-minute VHS tape of yourself explaining why you should be on "The Biggest Loser" by sharing personal stories about your struggle with weight. Be sure to identify who you are by sharing your full name, age and where you live. The video should be "a day in the life of" about you and your eating and exercise habits. They are looking for people who have spunk and personality, so be yourself and ham it up if that is who you are. They will know if you're having fun or not!
3. Mail your application and video in a bubble-wrapped envelope to:

And for our friends in Australia, time is running out to apply for the "land down under" version of "The Biggest Loser." Click here for more details, but the deadline to enter is coming up this week.
The American version of "The Biggest Loser" is pulling HUGE ratings in Australia, so I am glad to see they are getting their own show. In fact, they are calling this "the Biggest Television Event of 2006" in that country. Uh, yeah, I'd say they're pretty fanatical about "The Biggest Loser."
Only one question remains this year, though: WHO WILL BE THE BIGGEST LOSER FROM SEASON TWO? Thoughts anyone?
