4 Laws Of Debunkery Take On The 'Experts'

In light of the recent findings about the complete and utter failure of the low-fat diet, the following "4 Laws of Debunkery" that were passed on to me by a good friend are all the more prescient now than ever before:

THE 4 LAWS OF DEBUNKERY

1. What the public doesn't know, we certainly won't tell them.

2. Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up.

3. If one can't attack the data, attack the people. It is easier.

4. Do one's research by proclamation rather than investigation. It is much easier, and nobody will know the difference anyway.

Can you say the media and the so-called health "experts?" LOL! If these statements don't perfectly describe them and their twisted mentality, then I don't know what does! Unfortunately, it is no laughing matter when we are talking about public health and these people are playing with it like it's some kind of game or something.

The next time you hear a claim about diet, nutrition, health or fitness in the media or from one of these alleged "experts" (especially if they are blasting away at the low-carb lifestyle like they enjoy doing so much!), take a look at these 4 laws again and see if they don't fit them like a glove. It's scary just how devious health leaders have become, but they have and you need to be aware of what they are doing.

Combine these 4 laws of debunkery with the 9 facts of life and you've got the perfect recipe for an educated public. When it comes to health, we could all stand to be a little more eduated and enlightened so we don't have to rely on what self-proclaimed health leaders are telling us. Sounds like a good plan, doesn't it? Now start studying because class is always in session.
