GoLower Bars FINALLY Coming To America?

A little birdie told me GoLower bars will be available in U.S. by late Spring

Could it be, could it REALLY be? Are the much-heralded GoLower bars FINALLY on their way to the United States of America at long last? Tell me, tell me pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!

In a word -- YEP!

I recently learned from a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE that the infamous nutty low-carb bars that have taken the UK by storm will be available for purchase in the good ole U.S. of A. sometime in May. The full details about exactly when and where are not yet available, but you KNOW I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Last Fall I teased you with this blog post saying that GoLower was close to landing a deal for U.S. distribution by the end of 2005, but that one fell through at the last minute. But now they are DEFINITELY coming and you will not want to miss this unique opportunity to enjoy what I think is arguably the greatest non-chocolate low-carb snack on the market today hands down!

The appeal to the health-conscious, low-carb consumer with a sugar-free nut-based product has been sorely lacking in America. While I'll be the first to admit I love a good sugar-free, low-carb chocolate bar, the GoLower bars are different. They offer up a great-tasting bar without giving you all the junk that is usually associated with this kind of product. Don't take my word for it -- check out what Low Carb Freedom said about these superb bars in their review last year.

Expect to be WOWed like you've never been before once you get a chance to bite into these GoLower bars for yourself. I have had all three flavors -- coconut, chocolate, and raspberry -- and they are a high-quality product in every respect. People who attended the Nutritional & Metabolic Aspects of Carbohydrate Restriction conference in January were able to get a taste of GoLower bars and the response from the conference attendees, mostly low-carb researchers and medical professionals, was extremely positive.

One last thing: I heard there will be a special deal for readers of the "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" blog who want to be one of the first to try the GoLower bars when they hit American soil for the first time ever. Keep checking back in the coming weeks for all the details about this exclusive offer so you can get your hands on these unbelievable products as soon as possible. I promise you will not be disappointed and you will reorder again and again!

Stay tuned....

What do they have in them to sweeten them and what is the carb count?

Hey Newbirth,

The GoLower bars have a fiber-based sweetener called oligofructose with a very low glycemic index rating. The carb-count is about 34g net carbs per bar.

And they are VERY delicious, too! I hope you'll try them at least once. Raspberry is the bomb!

34g net carbs? Yowza! I guess I should save that for a couple years from now once I get to maintenance. :p

At GoLower's product description page -- golower.com/nut_bar.html -- 34g is given as the bar's total weight, with the carb count ranging from 3.3 to 3.7 per bar (depending on the flavor, and not counting the 9+ g's of fiber). Sounds pretty good!

Hey Jeff,

GoLower bars do NOT have 34g net carbs. Sorry for the typo (I left out the dash between three and four). :-~

As Linda noted, they contain 3-4g net carbs per bar with LOTS of fiber. They are EXCELLENT for ANY phase of low-carb.
