What's with all of the Kimkins advertisements? I remember her from "back when" when she posted "her" diet on another low carb board. She calls Dr. Atkins diet her own and even makes her name from his, Kimkins. She was not a very nice person on the other low carb board and there was even speculation if she had ever been overweight.

I enjoy reading your blog, but the constant advertisements for "Kimkins" is getting boring.

THANKS for your feedback, Kim. But if you have read my blog for any length of time, you already know that one of the regular features I have at "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" is low-carb weight loss success stories.

There's nothing like a good tale of triumph and victory over a weight problem to get others pumped about losing weight for good. That's what I'm all about with my blog--encouraging and educating people to DO IT!

I make no apologies at all for including Kimkins weight loss stories in the mix. My experience with Kimmer is she is nothing but an honest and endearing woman who would like nothing more than for the whole world to stop being overweight or obese.

As someone who did the Atkins diet as prescribed by Dr. Robert C. Atkins, I can tell you her plan is NOT the same. Not even close. The only similarity is that it is low-carb.

Again, THANK YOU for sharing your comments, Kim. It's unfortunate that you have been misinformed about Kimmer and Kimkins. I encourage you to at least browse around the Kimkins web site and decide for yourself if it's something worth checking out or moving on from.

But one thing you can't call ANY low-carb weight loss success story is BORING! :)
