Sounds delicious! It's similar to the Power 90X nutrition guidelines.
Very low carb and hugh protein. Add resistance training and you can gain muscle while losing fat.

Best of luck doing Kimkins, Jimmy. I know you'll be an even bigger (uh, smaller size) success story all over again.

Curious....what is your "beverage"?

Can you post your calories, fat, carb, protein intakes for each day?

THANKS, Cindy! I drink (as I always have since I started livin' la vida low-carb) lots of water as well as my diet sodas which are permitted on Kimkins.

As for calories, I'm on the Kimkins plan where you don't have to count them. My carbs are almost zero while my fat is moderate and my protein is high as a percentage of my macronutrients.

Like Atkins, I'm not micromanaging this thing. I'm just eating when I am hungry and enjoying the process so that I stay satisfied.

Hi Jimmy! I just discovered the Kimkins diet about 3 weeks ago (in Woman's World magazine). I'm actually on Weight Watchers and have done very well on it, but wanted a boost. I followed Kimkins for 3 days the first week (but still counted my WW points) which helped me lose 6.8lbs. that week at my WW meeting. The next week I was in the Bahamas on vacation (don't know if I maintained or gained that week), but followed Kimkins again for 3 days and lost 3.2lbs. this week. I love the Kimkins diet, but have to admit not sure if it's for me 24/7. And even though I know I might not lose as much as if I did follow it 24/7, I am loving using it a few days a week to boost my weight loss.

By the way you look great!! Very much an inspiration! I've lost 40lbs. so far and would like to lose 50 more (getting married in a few months)!

That's so awesome, Lori! I'm proud of you and know you will make it on your Kimkins weight loss journey. Keep doing it your way and you'll be just fine.

I too am doing Kimkins "my way" because I think people should tailor their diet to them and not what anyone else would dictate them.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK and come by my thread at Kimkins sometime called "Jimmy Moore's Big Push For One-derland!"

SEE YA! :D

Hi Jimmy!
I was reading the sample menu, and I was hoping I could ask you a question[or two] about The Kimkins.

Is there a certain portion list you have to follow with each meal?

And is it all recipes or can you fix it according to a certain way?

I really hate to bug you with these questions, but I'm trying to convince my mom about this diet. We're both severely overweight and we are both sick of failure and I've heard so many success stories I'm willing to try it.
Thank you!

-Sam

Hey Sam,

THANKS for your questions and I'm happy to help.

This sample menu is for the original Kimkins plan. But there are 5 versions of Kimkins in all.

The one I am doing is called Kimmer Experiment (K/E) and it is not portion-controlled, nor does it require the use of recipes.

Of course, there are also other Kimkins plans for vegetarians, using protein shakes, eating a reduced calorie protein and veggie mix, as well as one that incorporates exercise.

PLUS, the Kimkins forum is arguably the most supportive, loving, and caring people for your weight loss journey I have EVER seen anywhere.

Let me know if you decide to do this! Best wishes to you regardless!
