'Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show' Episode 104: Friends Don't Let Friends Get H-U-N-G-R-Y!

One of the reasons why so many of us got to be overweight or obese in the first place is we were always anticipating our next meal and making it the focal point of our lives. It may not have been a conscientious thought process, but it was there whether we admit it or not. Food, and specifically sugary and starchy high-carb food, was our reason for living because we had a deep, deep hunger.

I'm not sure where people got the notion that they should suffer in their weight loss, but that's precisely what most people think. Being hungry and craving food are just a part of what it takes to shed the pounds (so they think!). But when you are livin' la vida low-carb, all that conventional wisdom is thrown out the window and you discover a way of eating that is both delicious and nutritious that helps you burn body fat and feel better than you ever have in your entire life!

Excellent show! This is my second time around on low-carb. Don't ask why I stopped the first time, I have no good answer. But in the meantime I tried several other exercise/diet combos, with little long-lasting success. After starting low-carb again on Jan. 8 one of the first things that I noticed was the lack of hunger. So excuse me while I kick myself for getting off the plan in the first place.

My arsenal for beating an attack of hunger when i ate a nice low carb meal a couple hours before is first drink a big glass of water.It works most of the time because my body confuses thirst with hunger. It only happens a couple time a week. I now make sure to drink plenty of liquids while i'm eating.
