Say Goodbye Carbs, Hello Protein With Italy's Own Low-Carb CiaoCarb Cookies
CiaoCarb High-Protein Cookies now available at CarbSmartSome of the very best high-quality low-carb products aren't made and manufactured in the United States. Unfortunately, the big low-carb "craze" that swept across America in the early part of this decade with all their low-carb impostor products ruined the reputation of some truly great companies who made some remarkable foods for your healthy low-carb lifestyle. Meanwhile, low-carb companies are thriving with some rather amazing products overseas. You'll recall the UK-based GoLower nut bars thriving when they were imported into the U.S. for the first time in 2006 and they went on to become the fastest-selling new product in the history of low-carb retail giant CarbSmart. Now the folks at CarbSmart are ready to launch an equally exciting product in 2008 imported directly from Italy to the American low-carb consumer for the first time. The product is called CiaoCarb Cookies and they are very low-carb, protein-packed morsels of healthy goodness that taste absolutely fabulous! I don't know if you've ever tried any other "low-carb" cookies before, but most are absolutely disgusting, fall apart and crumble when you try to hold them, and leave you wondering if you'll ever get to enjoy this sweet treat again. After trying these CiaoCarb Cookies for myself, I can tell you cookies are back and I'm hooked! With a full 10g of protein in each cookie packaged in pairs, you can use these as a perfect pre-workout power-up snack, breakfast replacement, or anytime you want a little something healthy and delicious to eat. Best of all, the net carbs are so negligible (less than a third of a net carbohydrate in each cookie!) that it's virtually ZERO carbs! Of course, these CiaoCarb Cookies are sugar-free which makes them PERFECT for diabetics and look and taste like a crunchy gourmet cookie you would purchase in Italy. Available in Almond, Chocolate, Coconut, Coffee, Lemon, and Orange (my personal favorite!) flavors, these cookies have just 95 calories each and are sweetened with a blend of maltitol, Splenda, and ACE-K. Although I'm not usually a fan of maltitol in low-carb products, I was pleasantly surprised that these did not bother me like some other products do. With less maltitol, there was little to no reaction. AWESOME!!! This is very likely gonna be CarbSmart's 2008 breakout product of the year, so order your own stash of CiaoCarb Cookies today. They are available EXCLUSIVELY at CarbSmart right now, so go ahead and give them a try. You will no doubt LOVE these cookies as much as I do and CarbSmart will stand behind their quality 100%. If you don't like 'em, then CarbSmart will take care of you. But you WILL eat these up! I'd love to hear your feedback about these innovative low-carb cookies directly from Italy, so try 'em and lemme know what you think! ENJOY! :D Labels: CarbSmart, CiaoCarb, cookies, diabetic-friendly, GoLower, high-protein, low-carb, products, sugar-free

GoLower's Carbcast #3 Features Jimmy Moore
Have you checked out the brand new podcast show from the UK-based low-carb products company called GoLower? As you know from my reviews of the GoLower nut bars and the new GoLower chocolate creme bars, I'm a fan of GoLower and could not be more pleased to know they are helping low-carbers in Europe and America enjoy product that are low-sugar and delicious. Ever since I interviewed GoLower Founder and CEO Hannah Sutter last year, I knew this was a special woman concerned about the health and weight of people who struggle with obesity. If more food companies had this kind of leadership and business model for actually serving the overweight public, then perhaps we could move forward in coming up with a solution to the problem. The immense admiration I have for GoLower is mutual as they have been very supportive of my efforts here at my blog. That's why they invited me to share a few minutes about my low-carb weight loss experience in their Carbcast Episode #3. It's only a few minutes long and you might learn a thing or two more about Jimmy Moore that you didn't before. :) Be sure to leave a comment and thank GoLower for featuring me on their Carbcast. GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars Now In The US
GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars have arrived at CarbSmart The wait is finally over. After first blogging about them last July, the grand United States debut of the British smash sensation GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars has come and available exclusively from our friends at CarbSmart. Following in the footsteps of the bestselling GoLower Nut Bars, these new chocolate creme bars are a nice change of pace for people who enjoy a great-tasting nougat bar. In fact, the Chocolate flavor actually tastes like a 3 Musketeers bar! WOO HOO! While the GoLower company originally wanted to release their Chocolate Creme Bars in Chocolate, Raspberry, and Coconut just like the nut bars, they decided not to produce the coconut flavor after several tests in the UK found customers did not like them. I was one of the people who tested all three flavors and I actually LIKED the coconut creme bars even though I do not like the coconut nut bars. Go figure! Anyway, these GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars have 7g protein, 7g fiber, and just under 6g net carbs per serving. There are NO artificial flavors, NO preservatives or artificial sweeteners, NO Trans-fats, and made from only the finest Belgian dark chocolate available. You may notice there are 5g sugar listed in the ingredients in each bar. When I asked Hannah Sutter, founder and CEO of GoLower, about this, she said the the British government requires any food that calls itself chocolate to be made with sugar. Hmmm, that's interesting. So, if she tried to make it with maltitol (EEEK!) or a Splenda/ACE-K blend, they would have to call it chocolate FLAVORED. Not good! With that said, the thin layer of chocolate that is in this bar is not enough to bother you if you are in the pre-maintenance or maintenance phases of livin' la vida low-carb. It's still MUCH lower in carbohydrates than a typical candy bar which can be as high as 60-70g carbs a piece. GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars are so much better! Just like the GoLower Nut Bars, these creme bars use oligofructose and the natural flavors of the ingredients to WOW your tastebuds with a delicious and nutritious snack. Grab yourself a box or two of the GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars and let me know what you think of them! Fans of GoLower Nut Bars will be pleased to hear that CarbSmart has an exciting special going on with them right now--they are 40% off!!! This is a good time to stock up on these superb bars when you place your order for the GoLower Chocolate Creme Bars. Don't forget, you get FREE UPS GROUND SHIPPING when you purchase $100 or more. Enter the word "induction" (without the quotes) when you checkout to receive the FREE SHIPPING. Labels: CarbSmart, chocolate, creme bars, GoLower, low-carb, products
Even More Podcast Praise Pouring In
"The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore" podcast continues to build momentum as more and more people are finding out about it for the first time. After just two episodes, literally hundreds upons hundreds of people have been exposed to the positive message of livin' la vida low-carb. I fully expect the audience to grow even bigger as so many of you get the word out about the show. THANK YOU! The outpouring of support from my fellow low-carb and weight loss web site friends has been rewarding and I am truly grateful for their assistance in getting the word about the show as well. Additionally, I've gotten plenty of feedback from the listeners, too! Before I get to some of that, it's time to announce the winner of the FREE BOX OF GOLOWER CHOCOLATE CREME BARS. The winner of this contest for correctly identifying the number of times I said "Australia" in Episode 2 as three is... CATHY C. from ALABAMA!!!CONGRATULATIONS, Cathy! Enjoy those GoLower Creme bars! You are one of the very first Americans who will have the chance to taste these amazing bars which will be coming to America very soon. ENJOY and THANK YOU for listening! Here are MORE comments I received about my latest podcast: It is a great show. The sound quality was much improved for Episode 2. I'm looking forward to future episodes. ***************** I greatly appreciated the improved sound quality of this episode. The studies you presented were fascinating, and I especially like the way you make thing simple to understand. Do I detect a (slight) Southern accent? I’ve been loving your blog, which I discovered about 6 months ago. The podcast is also a great source of information and encouragement. ***************** GREAT JOB on your second podcast--people really need to know what's going on with these studies and you're doing a great job of getting the word out. ***************** Although I find your show informative, it is way too short. Just as I am getting "hooked" into listening to what you are saying, you are signing off. Thanks for putting your show out there. More people need to try low carbing. ***************** I liked the new podcast. I am looking forward to future casts, maybe some with motivation tools for those of us “long timers." ***************** Great job!!!!!!! Your show is so informative. ***************** Loved your show today. I have lost 85 pounds low carbing. When people question the healthiness of this diet, I have so many rebuttals for them because of your blog and now your podcast. Keep up the good work! ***************** Thanks for starting such a great service! I am an avid reader of your blog but to finally hear you regularly on your podcast really helps me to stay on the right track. The only thing that I can think you can do to improve your show is to: 1. Make it longer 2. Take a longer breath between sentences. ***************** I just listened to your second podcast, and thought it was even better than the first one! You are in your element, and the enthusiasm comes across loud and clear. Thanks Jimmy for providing us low-carbers with plenty of great information and motivation! *****************Once again, I REALLY appreciate the feedback and WANT to hear from YOU! Be sure to check out the feedback left at iTunes as well. THANK YOU to everyone who has commented and feel free to keep sharing your remarks with us! By the way, my podcast show won't be longer than 10-15 minutes because it would tend to get boring if it runs longer than that. Perhaps I will consider doing more than one show weekly, but I think the show should get a few more listeners before doing that. If the show hits a certain number of listeners, then I will probably add one or two extra podcasts each week. It will add more work on me, but worth every moment invested to bringing you the best low-carb information possible. As for providing information for veterans of the low-carb lifestyle, honestly I probably can't tell those of you in this category ANYTHING about low-carb that you don't already know through your own personal experience. While I won't ignore issues that deal with being on low-carb long-term, most of the podcasts will be geared towards helping educate those who don't know as much about low-carb as you do. Don't let that discourage you, though. Consider it a refresher course! :D Tune in on Monday for more of "The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show" as well as another SUPER prize in a contest for listening to Episode 3 next week. You WON'T want to miss it! Please spread the word to your friends, family, and those curious about low-carb living. Until then, keep on livin' la vida low-carb! I don't hold back in exposing this little game the media plays with public health information and hopefully it will help other people become skeptical about any new "study" that is heavily reported. After listening to the show, you can go back and read the references to studies and books made during Episode 2 by using this list of links mentioned during the broadcast: - Esophageal Cancer/High-Carb Diet Study- Kidney Cancer/High-Carb Diet Study- "Oops I almost did the Atkins diet" Study- "Cake and Shake" Saturated Fat Study- "The Pocket Diet" book review- "The Bread For Life Diet" book review- "The Diet Code" book review- "The Great Cholesterol Con" by Anthony Colpo book reviewI know what you're thinking, "Shut up already and tell us about the freebies!" Have You Tried The GoLower Low-Carb Snacks From The UK?
It's not very often that I get real excited about a new product that claims to be low-carb because usually it either contains an excessive amount of sugar in it despite claiming to be "low-carb" or it tastes so disgusting that you'd rather just chew on a piece of bark instead! But, wouldn't you know it, I finally came across a low-carb snack that is natural, fortified with vitamins, high in fiber content and absolutely delicious. It's called GoLower Carb Counter Nut Bars. You may not have heard of the GoLower brand yet in the United States since it is UK-based (you can order their products online at any of their Internet distributors), but you will definitely want to add these Carb Counter Nut Bars to your list of snacks while livin' la vida low-carb. I didn't know much about them until recently, but was quite impressed with the list of ingredients in them, including a mixture of brazil nuts, linseeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. With all of those nuts and seeds, you will get over 9 grams of fiber in just one GoLower Carb Counter Nut Bar alone! Additionally, each bar contains essential fatty acids, B vitamins, vitamin E, calcium, selenium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, copper, and alpha-linoleic acid. Each of these helps added nutrients improve the way the body works and adds even more nutritional benefits to your low-carb lifestyle. Furthermore, these GoLower Carb Counter Nut Bars are sweetened with something called oligofructose, a natural ingredient that helps the body grow friendly bacteria helpful during digestion and absorption of vitamins and minerals our bodies need. I've not heard of any other low-carb product that offers this important ingredient. Finally, these snacks do not contain any sugar, artificial sweeteners, or sugar alcohols, which have been known to cause gastric distress. Sounds pretty good doesn'it? But I know what you're thinking -- how does it taste? Frankly, I didn't know what to expect regarding the taste and texture of these low-carb snacks before I actually tried them. But once I did, let me tell you: THESE BARS ARE FANTASTIC!!!I was completely blown away by how good they were. I tried each of the flavors in the following order and here are my thoughts on each. CHOCOLATEBeing a pretty big chocolate fan, I was expecting this one to be my favorite. Since this was my first taste of the GoLower products, I was immediately struck by the rich, full flavor they had. I was expecting the chocolate flavor to dominate my tastebuds, but it did not. And that's a good thing, too. The nutty flavor along with the crunch complemented the chocolate very nicely. It was a great introduction to the GoLower Carb Counter Nut Bars. RASPBERRYOkay, after the chocolate one tasted as good as it did, I didn't know what to expect from the raspberry flavor. But when I stuck it in my mouth, my tastebuds went into overdrive! This was the most incredible tasting non-chocolate low-carb snack bar I have ever put in my mouth, bar none! I am totally serious. It even has real freeze-dried raspberries in it that enhance the flavor even more. This will be the one flavor I will come back to time and time again. COCONUTI admit that I am not a fan of coconut at all mostly because I don't like the texture of coconut. But even after making myself try this flavor, I was delighted to find it to be the same kind of high-quality snack that the chocolate and raspberry flavors were without the annoying texture that I despise. If you like coconut, then you will most certainly enjoy this snack bar. The great thing about these GoLower Carb Counter Nut Bars is the fact that they contain 3.5 net carbs each, which makes them great to eat several times a day and still keep your carb intake to a minimum. If you consume as many as three of these delicious snacks per day, then you'll be adding 17 grams of protein and 27 grams of fiber to your diet while only contributing 10 net carbs to your overall carb intake. You certainly can't beat that regardless of where you are in your low-carb lifestyle! I highly recommend these GoLower products for everyone doing low-carb. Wanna try 'em for yourself now? Visit the GoLower web site at www.golower.com to buy these today! Let me know what you think after trying them for yourselves! Labels: bar, food, GoLower, low-carb, nuts, products, snack
